The Journey - Listening and Talking With God
Are you ever afraid of “missing” the perfect will of God? Do you find yourself stuck, waiting for a sign before you take the next step? This sermon invites you to lay down that paralysis and step boldly into a simple, freeing truth: God’s will is that you walk closely with Him.
Drawing from Elijah’s encounter in 1 Kings 19, we’re reminded that the Lord wasn’t in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire, but in the still small voice. In the same way, our journey with God isn’t defined by dramatic signs or changing circumstances, but by a growing, daily relationship with Jesus Christ.
You’ll be challenged to stop letting flat tires, storms, or trials “interpret” God’s plan for you, and instead choose a path, any righteous path, that leads you closer to Him. Whether your road goes through the valley, over the mountain, or straight through it, the destination is the same: deeper intimacy with Jesus.
As you listen, expect to:
Experience relief from the pressure of chasing a mysterious “perfect will”
Learn how to filter out the noise and hear God’s voice
Be stirred to action, to move, pray, worship, and follow
If you’re tired of standing in the valley of decision, this message will help you start walking again…toward Him.
