The Choice YOU Make
Our everyday choices carve out our spiritual journey and relationship with God. Based on Psalms 97, this sermon imparts a pivotal lesson about the sovereignty of God and the impact of our decisions. God reigns supreme, displaying His majesty and power through creation. Yet, it's our response to His reign that defines our path toward deliverance or danger, light or darkness, rejoicing or regret.
Can we truly love God while embracing sin? The resounding answer is no. Embracing God means rejecting the darkness and choosing His light through acts of faith, obedience, and repentance. Like Israel, when we face our own battles, be it anxiety, temptation, or despair, we find that victory comes through submission to God’s commanding presence.
The sermon uses the agricultural metaphor to illustrate how God plants light in the lives of the righteous. Choosing God is choosing a path of guidance and truth that leads to lasting joy and fulfillment. Conversely, choosing sin brings profound regret and spiritual blindness, obscuring the clarity God intends for our lives.
This message is an invitation to reflect on our spiritual walk and make decisions that align with God's will. It emphasizes the transformative power of God in our lives and challenges us to seek His presence actively, reinforcing the eternal truth of the Apostolic Oneness perspective: Jesus is the fullness of God, and in Him lies our ultimate deliverance. Are you ready to make that choice today?
